Trends and challenges in the development of contemporary society 


The International Annual Scientific Conference of the Public University “Kadri Zeka” Trends and challenges in the development of contemporary society will take place from 13-14.06.2024, offering to participate with presentations of research results in one of the 5 sections of the conference:

Submission of abstracts to the conference sections takes place until 31.05.2024.

The two - day conference is a meeting place and platform for researchers, teacher educators and policy makers from region and all over the world.

It combines inspiring keynotes, a wide variety of papers on research and practice of different areas –informatics, mathematics, education, law and economics, and active working sessions in a stimulating and friendly atmosphere. 

Scientific Committee

AC UKZ 2024’s Scientific Committee (ScC) is responsible for overseeing the peer-review process for the Annual Conference UKZ 2024 to ensure consistency in the scientific quality of the presentations. The Scientific Committee is assisted by members of the Peer Reviewers, who are asked to evaluate abstracts proposed for presentation at the conference as well as full papers submitted for publication in the proceedings.

Tasks of the Scientific Committee (ScC)

-     The SC manages the peer-review process for the annual conference in as consistent and transparent a manner as possible.

-     The ScC, in consultation with the conference’s local organiser, make the final decisions to accept or reject contributions.

-     The ScC and its Chair work according to the published responsibilities and guidelines as approved by Scientific Council of UKZ.

-     The ScC chair is responsible for assigning tasks to ScC members, for coordinating the activities of the ScC with the local organiser, and for communicating with Scientific Council of UKZ.

-     The local organiser serving on the ScC communicates the practical details of the conference (e.g. number of rooms, maximum number of parallel sessions, maximum number of sessions) to the ScC chair.

-     The ScC is only responsible for reviewing presentations for the annual conference, and the Editorial Board manages the review process for the publication of the proceedings.

The Scientific Committee consists of 29 individuals: the chair of the committee, 18 at-large members, and 11 local organisers representing the current and previous conferences. The current members of the CAA Scientific Committee are:

Organizing Committee

Local organisers play a vital role on the organizing conference in helping develop an engaging conference programme that can be logistically accommodated at the meeting. Organizing Commetee is also responsible for producing the final schedule of sessions and presentations once all contributions have been accepted. Each local organiser remains on the committee for the year following their conference in order to assist and advise the next local organiser.

PAPER APPLICATION AND CONFERENCE FEES

-      Paper submisison for UKZ Conference 2024 is done using on-line conference management system at uni-gjilan.net

-      Template for paper formatting can be downloaded from same web addresses.

-      Conference fee is free.

-      OC of conference will përpare conference materials, Abstract Book, cocktail and refreshments, gala dinner and all other activities during the Conference.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATION

-      In agreement with the organizer of the Conference, the interested institutions and companies can organize presentations of their scientific research, development and production projects and programs, equipment and products. Presentations may last up to 45 minutes.

-      Presentation of products and equipment of companies 300€. 

-      Presentation of companies 400€. The price includes the registration fee.

-      Donations/sponsorship 500€. The donor is entitled to one free room and a registration fee.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGES

Official languages of the conference are English and Albanian.
